Subdivison, whether for strata or green title and including rural, residential, industrial or commercial land, requires an application to be lodged with the Department of Planning and Infrastructure and determined by the WAPC. Click Here for Application Form 1A. Outline Development Plan - This determines the development of Outline Development Plans (ODPs) and the gaining of approval for them from relevant authorities. In many areas, ODPs are required as a pre-requisite to subdivision to ensure the efficient provision of services and a co-ordinated subdivison layout. Development Application - This describes the preparation of development applications and gaining of approval from the relevant authorities. All developments, excluding the building of a single residence, requires development approval from the local authority. Rezoning Application - Some areas are not appropriately zoned to accommodate subdivision or development.
